-Maria Montessori

A conventional and genuine Montessori education is provided through the BLMS curriculum. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician, and educator spent over 40 years researching and developing the Montessori method. Their institution offers educational opportunities for children from infancy through kindergartens, such as parent-and-child sessions and a summer camp.

Their school is situated near Jersey City, points of interest that are ideal for the experiential learning environment that they provide. Amid the Lafayette neighborhood in Jersey City, just two blocks from the light rail station that serves the Liberty State Park area.

MONTESSORI

Dr. Maria Montessori of Italy is well recognized as the Montessori method of education creator. An educational methodology known as Montessori’s approach to teaching was developed over a century ago. Education in the Montessori method focuses on respect for a child’s natural psychological, physical, and social development and on promoting independence and freedom within reasonable boundaries. Children do best in settings where they are allowed to run about, and play, where they are encouraged to pay attention to what they are doing, where they are required to repeat tasks until they have mastered them, and where being nice is

The Montessori Method encourages independent learning at the student’s own pace within the context of a classroom deliberately prepared by the instructor. Children of all ability levels can succeed in a Montessori environment, emphasizing hands-on experiences and community-oriented learning because the materials are sequenced from concrete to abstract. Students are permitted to practice classroom procedures for mastery as often as necessary.

In her day, Dr. Montessori was an innovative educator. She accomplished something no one else had before—she studied kids at every stage and learned how to best capitalize on their inherent curiosity to instill in them a love of learning, skills, and knowledge. Dr. Montessori found that children can have great intellect and problem-solving skills when given the right resources, materials, time, space, and direction.

The relevance of Montessori education hasn’t changed in more than a century. Today’s educational leaders must mold teaching and learning to better satisfy 21st-century requirements. Competence in both individual and group endeavors is a must for students. They must be able to think critically, be at ease with creating knowledge rather than depending on predetermined concepts, be innovative and adaptable problem solvers, and care about improving their own and others’ lives. These elements are fundamental to the Montessori approach.

Programs

PARENT/CHILD

The children’s first and most essential instructors are their parents. When is the best moment to start teaching young children about the world surrounding them, the languages spoken in their area, and how to get along with other people? RIGHT AT THIS VERY MOMENT. This opportunity is provided via their 5D Babies and Learn With Me! Courses for parents and their young children.

INFANT

The brains of infants grow more quickly than at any other period in life, and the amount they learn during infancy is more than at any other point in life. The Montessori method recognizes the significance of these formative years and puts newborns in a caring and nurturing setting. There, calm and supportive people guide learning experiences that promote babies’ inherent wonder and curiosity.

TODDLER

The phrase “I do it myself!” is something that toddlers often exclaim. But the trait often referred to as stubbornness is, in reality, the gateway to a new level of independent thought and action. The guiding concept of a Montessori classroom is called “freedom within limitations,” It encourages young students to express their desire to help themselves and others safely and creatively.

Their Toddler class takes into account the fact that these young students are energetic and that they are actively absorbing everything that is going on around them. The classroom has been meticulously constructed to teach the children how to control and improve their physical motions, communicate in English and Spanish, cultivate social skills, and take care of

themselves and their surroundings.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

A kid’s experiences in preschool and kindergarten affect how that youngster will come to regard their future schooling. Children in a Montessori Primary classroom engage in hands-on learning through materials that build one skill one step at a time until the kid is ultimately a complex operation such as cursive writing, basic mathematics, and phonetic reading without feeling stressed or pressured to do so. This type of learning is called the “Montessori Method.”

Students in their Primary classroom are encouraged to work independently via whole-class circle time, small-group or individual teacher-guided activities, and collaborative and solo chances to practice academic skills, make and serve meals, listen to music, and read. This is accomplished through whole-group circle time, small group or individual teacher-guided lessons, and collaborative and solo opportunities to practice academic skills. But behind these demonstrations of the pleasure of learning are experienced Montessori instructors who keep track of each child’s learning trajectory, assisting each child in mastering age-appropriate skills and opening up new vistas when suitable.

SUMMER CAMP

Memories of the summertime may last a lifetime! It is a beautiful opportunity to support what children have been learning all year in a laid-back setting with a significant amount of time spent in the great outdoors while families are taking a vacation from the regularity associated with the school year. Read to find out!

By providing children with opportunities for hands-on learning in areas such as science, mathematics, art, sports, and reading throughout their summer camp program, they aim to stimulate all of the children’s senses. Children may take advantage of the fresh air and sunshine while advancing their education by participating in outside activities. There is no summer learning loss, and a lot of fun!
